The shadow of grim fell on me
The news of grim was too much for me

Your jail service had come too quick.

I saw how u resisted the chains
I couldn’t stand the pain
Of not seeing u again .

My scars never wane
This world is just as vain
For I nearly gave up on our creed
Thinking I would not succeed

But then I saw your footsteps,
Beneath ur footsteps was light
Beneath them was my recovery
Beneath them was my shining armour
Beneath them was – GONE TO RETURN.
